An Immersive & Interactive Opera Experience A Major Highlight of the 50th Hong Kong Arts Festival in 2022
A co-production of Hong Kong Arts Festival and Finnish National Opera and Ballet, Laila invites the audience to shape her reality and the world of the future together with artificial intelligence. She challenges us to encounter our hopes, fears and anxieties related to technology and the unknown tomorrow.

In addition to presenting Laila, the HKAF has curated a series of outreach and education activities to promote broader awareness of Arts and Technology in Hong Kong by connecting local artists, communities, and secondary and tertiary school students. The HKAF’s Laila Outreach Ambassador, popular young local artist Zeno Koo, will take part in this year-long learning process with students, journeying through every possibility of the convergence of arts and technology.
